The above illustration (looking south) shows a near-term recommendation from the final study report that would construct a new bridge over Claggett Creek and construct a bicycle and pedestrian path through the conservation easement. The path would connect Hyacinth Street with Bill Frey Drive, where the Salvation Army Kroc Community Center is located (shown at top of image). Bill Frey Drive has sidewalks and bike lanes that connect to the businesses and industries along Portland Road and Salem Industrial Drive . The Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks are on the right of the image. The Clagget Creek Wetlands area is seen in the middle of the image. The blue dashed line shows the proposed pedestrian path that would provide additional access to the Wetlands area.
